Pizza Sandwich For Kids (or Big Kids)


Ingredients:

  • Any sandwich bread (I prefer sprouted whole grain like this)

  • Firm tofu, thinly sliced

  • Vegan cheese (I like this shredded mozzarella)

  • Any organic tomato/pizza sauce

  • Vegan butter

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • S&p

Instructions:

Over medium heat place thinly sliced tofu on a greased pan, seasoning both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, s&p cooking about a few minutes a side. (If you are in a time crunch you can skip this step and put the tofu on the sandwich uncooked because its going on the pan again anyways.)


Put tomato sauce on inside slices of the bread followed by the tofu and vegan cheese. Butter the outside of the bread and place face down on a pan over medium heat. Cooking covered a few min a side (until cheese melts and bread has browned). Slice in half and serve warm with optional extra tomato sauce for dipping.
